  • How will massage therapy benefit me?

With professional massage therapy you can experience relief from muscular tension and pain, increase your range of motion, and reduce mental stress levels. Massage is a natural, non-drug treatment that can deliver both physical and emotional benefits. Treatments are specifically tailored to meet your needs.

  • How much space is needed to conduct a massage?

The best place for a massage is in a quiet place where there will be little to no distractions. You will need enough space to set up the massage table or chair and for the therapist to maneuver around it. A space about the size of a small bed room will usually suffice.

  • Is there anything you should do before receiving a massage?

It is best to have a cleansing shower or bath. A light meal before a massage will provide nourishment that will facilitate the healing process. Additionally, drinking water before a massage will help keep the body hydrated.

  • Is there anything you should do after receiving a massage?

Drinking plenty of water afterward is recommended. This will promote a feeling of improved focus and alertness normally experienced after a massage.

  • Is it necessary to remove my clothing for a massage?

One of the keys to the success of a your massage is your ability to relax and feel comfortable. Therefore, the decision is yours; remove only the articles of clothing that you are comfortable with removing. During a session you will be fully covered with a table sheet/blanket, only the area of your body that is being worked on is uncovered. Before and after the session, you will undress and dress in complete privacy.

  • Which regions of my body get massaged?

The therapist will ask you what you want to get out of the session. You will also be asked to describe any chronic problems that you are experiencing. This will determine the appropriate regions of your body that need attention. A typical full-body massage involves your back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, hands, and feet.

  • Are any precautions taken to prevent hygiene issues between occupants?

Yes! All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using a cleaner approved by Health Canada.

  • Will my extended healthcare plan cover the costs of the massage treatment?

Most extended healthcare plans include massage therapy. After your session, I’ll give you a receipt to submit to your benefit provider. Some plans ask you to first receive a physician’s referral. Please contact your healthcare provider for more information.

  • Do you offer massage gift certificates?

Yes we do! A massage is a great way to show someone how much you care. Please contact us for more information or to purchase one.
