My massage association has emailed me the news that they’re considering allowing us to provide remote treatments.
I’ve seen questions about this being raised by other massage therapists and manual osteopaths.
I hope we shall be allowed to do this practice in a manner that the insurance companies find to be acceptable. I’ll have more information on how the association will define our role in this later this week.
In the interim, I suggest you get a hold of your therapist. Check out my link here about how to find a therapist: https://www.robhodgins.com/2018/05/28/how-to-find-a-massage-therapist/
Open a line of communication with them and see if they will be getting into this novel way of delivering therapy. Then you can coordinate how best to make it happen.
Also, get a hold of your insurance company and see what their position is regarding this form of treatment.
